The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities department. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging students with the past and inspiring a love for history. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality history lessons to students aged 11-18, preparing them for their GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and challenging history lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing students' work to ensure exceptional progress.
  • Contributing to the development of the history curriculum and resources.
  • Supporting the school's commitment to providing personalised care, guidance, and support.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in History.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching History at secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • A passion for history and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
