Days - Friday Finish at 2pm (37.5 Hour Working Week)

25 + 8 Bank Holidays

My client, a market leader within their industry is looking for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join the team. This role offers long term job security & technical progression. The successful candidate will work and lead a close-knit quality team, working very closely with the whole team on site in the long term with progression available.

Role Description

  • Programme and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications ensuring they are safe to run and correctly formatted for operation.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines, with Hurco on site.
  • Develop and implement off-line programming solutions, streamlining efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspection of machines to ensure consistent performance.
  • Adhere to strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • CNC Setting Experience - Essential
  • Strong IT Skills with experience of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of quality assurance inspection and with precision measurement tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Good communication skills
