A brand-new opportunity has arisen to join a well-established group of independent pharmacies in Scotland.
Our client is in search of a GPhC registered Pharmacist or Pharmacist Manager to join their branch in the Wester Ross, a rural location within the beautiful Scottish Highlands.
This is a permanent flexible role, with the option of Pharmacist or Management responsibilities and can be on either a full time or part time basis, depending on your requirements. The store is open Monday to Friday (9am to 5.30pm) and Saturdays (9am to 1pm).
Salary ranges from £66,000 to £71,000 (Based on 5 days p/w) depending on your experience and IP qualification, and you will receive a bonus scheme, pension and accommodation if required.
Our client can also support you in completing the Independent Prescribing qualification, as you'll be given full support and mentoring from a dedicated IP Pharmacist Tutor who already works in the pharmacy.
Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacist / Pharmacist Manager
- Checking the dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labelled.
- Supervising the preparation of dossette boxes and checking them off.
- Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting GP's orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibles and prescribing errors.
- Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, labelling medicines.
- Control medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions.
- Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organising and directing Technicians workflow, verifying their preparation, and labelling of medicines verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
