** SEMH Learning Support Assistant ** Alternative Provision ** Braintree, Essex ** September 2024 start! ** £83.33 - £110 per day ** Monday - Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) ** Excellent CPD and progression ** On-site parking
Your new role and responsibilities:
- * Supporting children in small group interventions and on a 1:1 basis.
- * Encourage pupils to stay motivated and on track during their lessons.
- * You will be required to support in classes, assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues.
- * Creating a safe and positive learning environment where pupils feel valued and respected.
- * Supporting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs and interests of pupils.
Experience/ Qualifications:
- * Previous classroom experience in a similar role.
- * A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or social care (desirable but not essential).
- * TEAMTEACH trained (desirable but not essential).
- * Calm, patient and resilient approach.
- * The ability to facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
- * Positive attitude.
- * Team player.
