We're supporting on the recruitment of a newly qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis, responsible for managing the delivery of timely and accurate monthly and statutory reporting.
This role will be a key point of contact with internal business leads regarding their operating costs, requiring the development of strong relationships to effectively report and manage costs effectively.
This is a key role within the month end finance team of a medium-large sized business with an excellent history of success and opportunity for development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of month-end journals, maintenance of the fixed asset register and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT, CCL, and PSA tax returns
- Supporting business leads to deliver timely and accurate monthly and annual operating costs forecasts/budgets
- Understanding, reporting, and providing financial results and analysis to business leads to promote cost control and improve efficiency and accuracy of reporting
- Proactive identification of risks/opportunities, make recommendations, and seek resolutions with the finance team and wider business
- Assisting in meeting the statutory reporting requirements, ensuring internal and external deadlines are met
- Building strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
