We are seeking a Site Manager to lead our operations team with a focus on warehouse and grounds strategy. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of the site through the leadership, motivation, and development of the team. The Site Manager will work in accordance with the operational core values and principles of the company, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement warehouse and ground operations strategy to ensure smooth operations for movement and storage.
  • Define warehouse and manual handling strategy in alignment with business strategy, corporate guidelines, and policies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of warehouse and manual handling plans, budgets, and measures.
  • Implement safety/security protocols to ensure goods and equipment are safely operated, maintained, and stored.
  • Monitor site and team performance, including managing performance processes.
  • Provide financial forecasting for the site and manage the monthly payroll report.
  • Review operation performance, data, and facilities to identify efficient distribution and transportation patterns.
  • Examine and improve operating procedures, space utilization, and equipment protection.
  • Introduce best practices for warehouse and manual handling methods to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop strong relationships with business leaders across the organisation.
  • Lead and motivate the site team, reinforcing its position within the network.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team in a busy warehouse environment.
  • CPC qualification in transport and logistics is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Previous managerial experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience in the parcel industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of budgetary control.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
