Here at Midlands ETS we have an exciting opportunity for adedicated and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Tutor/Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment for students in the health and social care sector and have a passion for making a difference to young people who have Special Education Needs. This role involves teaching theory, conducting practical assessments, and providing support to learners to help them achieve their qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Instruction and Assessment:

Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in health and social care topics.

Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.

Assess students' work, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience.

Learner Support:
-
Provide one-on-one support and guidance to learners to help them achieve their qualifications.

Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Quality Assurance:
-
Ensure that all training and assessment activities meet regulatory and quality standards.

Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.

Collaboration:
-
Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and develop the curriculum.

Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community organizations.

Professional Development:
-
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in legislation related to health and social care.
Qualifications:
-
Education:
-
Relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ, Diploma, or Degree).
-
Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is preferred.

Assessing qualifications (e.g. CAVA, D32/33) desirable

Internal Quality Assurance qualifications desirable

Experience:
-
Previous experience as a tutor, assessor, or in a relevant health and social care role.

Strong knowledge of health and social care policies, procedures, and practices.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient in using technology and online learning platforms.
This is a term time only post working over 42 weeks of the year working 22.5 hours per week. Day's/Times of working can be agreed and discussed with Wendy Hemsley at Midlands ETS.
