General Foreperson/Foreman

As a General Forperson/Foreman, you will be at the forefront of our project, overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site. You will ensure that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Maintain high standards of work quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and company policies.
  • Manage site documentation and records.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification is an advantage.
