Job Title:
Senior Payroll Administrator
Location:
Uckfield – 3 days in office
Salary
: £40,000 - £43,500.
JGA are partnered with a leading bureau that are seeking a Senior Payroller to come and support their busy function in Uckfield.
This position offers hybrid working , CIPP study support, train discounts and free parking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to accurately enter payroll data from start to finish.
- Reconcile payroll with client data, obtain client approval, and issue payroll reports and payslips.
- Prepare payroll journals, reconcile weekly and monthly PAYE figures, and prepare BACS files.
- Administer Pension Auto-enrolment, make declarations to The Pensions Regulator, and manage pension scheme returns.
- Address queries from clients and HMRC effectively.
Key Requirements:
- Possess excellent numeracy skills and a strong understanding of payroll legislation, including PAYE and National Insurance.
- Ability to manually calculate payroll results and clearly explain calculations to clients.
- Have a good understanding of pension schemes and their associated rules.
- Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach as a team player who adapts well to changing priorities in a busy environment.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and accuracy and possess working knowledge of computerised payroll software.
