IT Support Technician Apprentice

Vacancy Description:

  • Provide technical support: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and network issues for users.
  • Assist with installations: Set up and configure devices such as laptops, iPhones, and iPads for employees.
  • Maintain IT systems: Regularly update and maintain hardware and software, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
  • Respond to IT support requests: Deliver both first and second-line support to users, either remotely or in person, to address technical problems.
  • Produce documentation: Create and update technical documentation and reports for IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
  • Manage databases and inventories: Keep asset and software databases updated and track IT resources and equipment.
  • Participate in development and training: Work towards completing development targets and engage in an apprenticeship programme to gain qualifications.
  • Organise workspaces: Ensure the organisation and upkeep of work and storage areas for efficiency.

  • Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Good communication skills: Able to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
  • Time management and organisational skills: Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
  • Keen attention to detail: Ensures accuracy when updating records, documenting procedures, or maintaining systems.
