About the role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Insight Analyst to join our Client Insight team on a 9-month fixed term basis. Our team's focus is always on our clients, understanding what they are doing and explaining what is driving them to behave the way they do. By providing meaningful insights on our clients, you will be central to improving client experience and helping key stakeholders make critical commercial and strategic decisions.

By immersing yourself not only in our own client data, but by considering external influences and our competitors, you will become an important part in explaining how our business is performing. We are looking for someone with a mix of analytical skills and great commercial focus to transform insights into action.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting stakeholders across the company by answering ad-hoc requests, drawing actionable insights and providing recommendations
  • Assist in the production of full, timely and accurate MI
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities within our data and translate them into improved new business or enhanced client experience.
  • Work alongside project teams and senior stakeholders to help shape investigations & questions that involve client behaviours or actions

About you

  • Expert in SQL and data manipulation (Snowflake, Microsoft T-SQL/SQL Server, Impala SQL or other varieties)
  • Report development experience using PowerBI and DAX or other data visualisation tools
  • Proficient at prioritising workloads effectively and using planning and collaboration tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence & Miro
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in finding insights through data analytics (Excel, R, Python or similar)

We're looking for someone who has experience, knowledge and skills in the following areas, however we appreciate that a successful applicant may not necessarily tick all of these areas:

Desirable

  • Knowledge and interest in financial services and products (pensions, ISAs, funds and shares etc.)
  • Previous experience in a commercially focused data role (understanding things such as lifetime value modelling, cost per action modelling, client segmentations etc.)

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, including competency-based questions and a task assessment.

Working Schedule

The role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is a 9-month fixed term contract, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
