Tradewind, a specialist education supply agency, is actively recruiting resilient, compassionate, and committed Teachers and Teaching Assistants to work in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) across [Region].
PRUs provide vital support to students who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. These roles are both challenging and deeply rewarding - ideal for individuals who want to have a lasting impact.
We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent) for core subject and general teaching roles
- Experienced Teaching Assistants or Support Staff
- Candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), SEND, or youth work
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
- Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Your Role May Include:
- Supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Delivering or assisting with tailored learning programmes
- Building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with education
- Managing challenging behaviours with confidence and empathy
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in education, SEN, or alternative provisions
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
