We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in the Westminster area.

The Role:

  • The Council has used an eSourcing portal for the past ten years to manage procurement activities and a contract register. In order for the Council to have greater control over its' contracts a new eSourcing and eContract Management portal has been procured and is in the process of configuration.
  • In autumn 2023, the new Contract Management Framework was launched which provided more detailed guidance on how to effectively manage contracts.
  • Where the eSourcing element of this configuration is largely like for like, the eContract Management module is brand new to the Council and its Contract Managers. The design of this module is complete, and Contract Managers are being kept appraised of developments.
  • The purpose of this role is the planning and execution of the roll out of the new eContract Management system provided by Jaggaer. The actual design of the portal is complete and is in testing, with a go live anticipated for June/July 2024.
  • Success will depend on your professional credibility across a range of stakeholders at all levels, including lead commissioners, senior managers, buyers, contract managers, budget holders and others who use our systems for procurement and contract management.
  • You will be expected to be committed to your own professional development and be an example of good practice within the team and to our client departments.

The Candidate:

  • Strong change management skills.
  • The development and implementation of business processes that have optimised sourcing or contract management operations.
  • Led eProcurement (sourcing, contract management, P2P) systems through scoping and needs identification to implementation.
  • Project Management/change management skills and experience
  • Literacy and numeracy evidenced by A levels. Grade A - C or equivalent.
  • A problem solver - ability to identify and resolve issues at pace.
  • Resilient and able to communicate change with understanding and pragmatism.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and self-motivation.
  • Strong analytical skills. You are able to use data and information to benchmark our processes and you can also use this information to bring about process and performance improvement.
  • * Effective interpersonal skills, you are able to build productive professional relationships to deliver positive outcomes for the Council.
