Client Details

A great opportunity for a Merchandiser - FTC to join a leading multi channel retailer in the Leeds area who offer hybrid working. They are an established business that have been trading for a number of years.. They are also known for their internal progression.

Description

  • Analysing previous seasons' sales history whilst considering trend move ons and changes to consumer spending to accurately forecast ROS by line by week.
  • Regularly reviewed line cards for continuity product ensuring that forward cover looked comfortable; liaising with the supplier to negotiate improvements on delivery dates where needed or to reforecast intake due to underperformance.

  • Produced and presented weekly trading analysis, identifying under and over performance at product level and proposing strategies for improved sell thru whilst considering relevant forward intake also.
  • Produce sales, markdown and margin budgets for stores and E-commerce platforms, using sales history combined with strategic but measurable building blocks to define planned growth.
  • Ensure that all promotional activity launched is the best commercial decision for the business, both within stock management, sales generation and net margin protection.
  • Responsible for reviewing the WSSI each week, reforecasting OTB requirements and rephasing intake where required.
  • Consider the impact of stock movements on business cash flow, smoothing intake to ensure that supplier payments can be facilitated on time whilst ensuring product launch dates are met.
  • Managed the team in range building all product categories for all relevant retail channels, considering the critical path of each supply base to allow for on time product launches.
  • Flagging any potential risks to budgeted sales and in turn proposing trading stance changes to minimize the risk of underdelivering.

Profile

  • 4 Years plus merchandising experience within a retail head office
  • Excellent excel skills
