Playworker
Location: Shoreditch Adventure Playground/ Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground.

About the Role
Service Care Solutions are currently seeking experienced Playworkers to join Hackney Council's team at two Adventure Playgrounds in London. As a Playworker, you will be responsible for delivering open access play activities for children and young people aged 6 to 15. This is a physically demanding role, with work predominantly outdoors on the adventure playground. You will be expected to deliver activities outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver open access play activities for children and young people aged 6 to 15
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and young people attending the adventure playground
- Encourage and support children and young people to engage in play activities
- Set up and pack away equipment and resources as required
- Ensure that the adventure playground is clean and tidy at all times
Requirements
- Experience of delivering open access play activities for children and young people aged 6 to 15, ideally in an adventure playground setting
- Experience and understanding of the Playwork Principles, the different play types and principles behind adventure playwork
- A satisfactory DBS check at enhanced level
Working Hours
The role is full-time, with hours varying depending on the time of year. During the Summer Holiday provision, the hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 - 17:30. During Term Time, the hours are Tuesday - Friday 15:30 - 19:00 and Saturday 10:30 - 16:30.
