Practice Manager - Private GP - Chelsea, London - £50k to £65k

A small private general doctors practice is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to support the GP. At present there is one GP who founded the practice, but there is potentially plans for expanding the team to an additional one or two doctors. This is due to the successful growth of the practice and increase in patients. The private practice has a large number of UHNW patients and families, requiring high standards of customer/patient service, excellent communications skills and organisation abilities.

SALARY ETC:

  • £50k to £65k, depending on experience.
  • Permanent, full-time
  • In person, 5 days per week, 8.30 am - 5.30 pm (8-9am / 5-6 pm)
  • Chelsea, London

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have right to work in the UK (unable to offer sponsorship).
  • Must have experience as a GP Practice Manager in private healthcare (the Doctor will not have time to train and therefore you would need previous experience and ability to run a small practice)
  • Experience and knowledge of ensuring the practice is CQC compliant.
  • Experience with Semble (formerly Heydoc) would be extremely helpful.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Highly organised and accuracy are important.
  • High standards of English (spoken and written, with good grammar).
  • Well presented, and reliable, with the ability to support the Doctor with a variety of duties; including typing, replying to emails, and the general running of the practice.
  • Experience in working with UHNW patients and families.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Keeping up with CQC regulation changes and ensuring policies and actions are updated accordingly.
  • Co-ordinating and ensuring compliance of clinical and non-clinical staff with mandatory training.
  • Organising agendas for and minuting Clinical Governance, Clinical and Practice meetings.
  • Information Governance.
  • Ensuring equipment functional, Ensuring patients can reach us (mystery caller)
  • Organising provision of cleaners who clean within guidance of CQC
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC with respect to disposal of Waste and Sharps
  • Ensuring we have stock for emergencies including blood spill kits.
  • Ensuring staff management is in line with CQC requirements.
  • Rotas to ensure adequate cover and warnings of shortfalls
  • Reminders to doctors to consider performance bonuses/longevity bonuses
  • Performance management e.g. consideration to improving our staff retention-incentivising, workplace conditions, performance bonuses. And approaching poor performance in a structured way to in line with best practice and employment law.
  • To deal with complaints and ensure that all are logged and dealt with in a timely fashion.
  • Ordering of supplies and stock taking.
  • Standing in as temporary secretary when necessary as well as assisting with office duties when the office is very busy, or the need arises.
