Thera East Midlands has an exciting opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our team in Boston . You will join us on a permanent basis, with full-time and part-time hours available (This role is a daytime position - Monday to Friday). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11.60 per hour .

Thera Group are a charity that support people with a learning disability in the community. We want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society, but we can't do this without you! We need Support Workers in the Lincolnshire area to make our vision a reality.

We have recently achieved Skills for Care endorsement which is a mark of quality in recognition of the learning and development you will receive. This is evidence that our training provision makes a significant difference to our workforce and the people we support.

Responsibilities as our Support Worker:

  • No two days are ever the same you will be supporting people to participate in a range of fun, recreation, and educational activities. Long walks, outdoorsy, swimming, being in the garden and lots of other activities.
  • Supporting people to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Building a relationship with the people you are supporting to ensure their needs, wishes and goals are achieved.
  • Provide person centred support to promote independence and enhance well being.
  • The job satisfaction is endless knowing the fulfilment you are bringing to others lives and enabling them to live independently in their community.

What we're looking for in out Support Worker:

  • Are you kind, caring and able to listen, If so, this role is for you!
  • Full paid training will be provided within the role care certificate and NVQs.

What do you need to become our Support Worker ?

  • Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
  • No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
  • Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
  • Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
  • Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun!
