We are working closely with a prestigious North of England based business that provides professional business services to a variety of rural clients, and they are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their busy team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join their team with the purpose of managing your own portfolio and reporting to the Head of Accounts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To manage a portfolio of clients' accounts for managed estates
- To input and check sales and purchase ledger invoices in Xero Accounts software and approve payments
- Producing and submitting VAT returns
- Running client payroll
- Produce and check monthly management reports
- Process year end and liaise with accounts
- Assist with on boarding with new clients
You would ideally have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification, e.g; AAT Level 3, CIMA, ACCA
- At least 5 years' experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
- Experience of Farm preferred but not essential
- Experience of Xero Accounting software
- Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
