Bookkeeper

We are working closely with a prestigious North of England based business that provides professional business services to a variety of rural clients, and they are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their busy team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join their team with the purpose of managing your own portfolio and reporting to the Head of Accounts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To manage a portfolio of clients' accounts for managed estates
  • To input and check sales and purchase ledger invoices in Xero Accounts software and approve payments
  • Producing and submitting VAT returns
  • Running client payroll
  • Produce and check monthly management reports
  • Process year end and liaise with accounts
  • Assist with on boarding with new clients

You would ideally have:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification, e.g; AAT Level 3, CIMA, ACCA
  • At least 5 years' experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
  • Experience of Farm preferred but not essential
  • Experience of Xero Accounting software
  • Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
