We are seeking a Science Lecturer to join a Further Education college in North West London. This role involves teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from levels 1 to 3. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality education and can start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and deliver lectures in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students at levels 1 to 3.
- Develop and utilise a variety of teaching materials and methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure comprehensive understanding.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through both formative and summative assessments.
- Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
- Maintain up-to-date records of students' attendance, grades, and overall progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Science or a related field; a teaching qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at FE level.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
