About the business:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of my clients Digital Print departments. You would be working for an established, independent group of companies at our Kent offices, specialising in Digitally printed food packaging.

Working Environment for a Business Development Executive:

The business supplies independent & niche brands, with specialised digital packaging to enhance their brand & shelf presence in market. The business works to short deadlines, at times under pressure to satisfy customer demands. Working from a modern office with high levels of camaraderie. Our production team are fully trained to run each machine with a high level of skill and attention to detail, with regular communication within the department to ensure production & delivery is accurate and timely. The working culture is always positive with an emphasis on teamwork and support is always available.

Required skills for a Business Development Executive:

  • Sales experience
  • FMCG & Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
  • High attention to detail and good organisation skills
  • Ambitious and eager to learn.
  • Enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated & working well within a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Previous experience within Print & Packaging preferred although not essential as training will be provided.
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines and manage time accordingly.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Day to day duties for a Business Development Executive:

  • Identify suitable prospects for the business
  • Manging enquiries that come in via the website & other internal sources
  • Estimating & providing quotations to customers within a quick and efficient time frame
  • Drive sales & enquiries independently
  • Manages sales pipeline and input onto internal CRM
  • Booking new customer orders onto internal systems
  • Understand the Digital production process & how to plan jobs accordingly
  • Liaise with external suppliers for outworking processes
  • Be forward thinking with good time management as the department is fast paced & require efficiency
  • Work strategically carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Manage current customer accounts and requirements
  • Ordering Layouts & Dies for production
  • Assisting the production team when necessary
  • Assessing material size for pre-cutting stock to size using guillotine
  • Organising delivery of goods with our warehouse and raising delivery notes
  • Booking in production, creating job bags & checking job bags before production
  • Entering job reconciliation data into internal system
  • Dealing with customer NCR's, investigation, and resolution.
  • Requesting new product samples from the design team
  • Covering Digital office duties if another employee is on annual leave.
