Asset Engineer - Geotechnical

Our client is seeking an Asset Engineer (Geotechnical) to join their team within the Public Sector, where people are their greatest asset. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to enhance their knowledge and skillset, applying them on a daily basis in a developing professional environment

This role will be based in the Wiltshire area.

As an Asset Engineer you will lead the requirements for examination and undertake evaluation, assessment and risk management of geotechnical assets. Manage compliance of examination and evaluation of geotechnical assets against requirements of standards. Provide engineering input to the standards and specifications for earthworks examinations and assessments.

Essential Criteria

Geology or Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Membership of relevant professional institution and actively working toward Chartership.
Experience of railway civil engineering, with knowledge of geotechnical and drainage asset maintenance, refurbishment and renewals.
A sound knowledge of geotechnical engineering policies and standards.
An understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence.
Full UK driving licence.
