Transport Administrator
Taskmaster Recruitment are looking for a Transport Administrator to work for our client based at their office in Alwalton, Peterborough
Responsibilities include:
- Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests.
- Route plan and schedule ad hoc deliveries on our own vehicle service.
- Handles distribution to ensure that goods are delivered on time.
- Booking in deliveries with customers to ensure optimal delivery arrangements.
- Monitor carrier systems to ensure customers' orders are on track for delivery.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets for customer/company reports.
- Work with recruitment companies to hire drivers as and when required.
- Prepare delivery and dispatch paperwork as required.
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer enquiries through multiple shared inboxes.
- Handle incoming calls from internal and external customers.
Key Skills/Attributes:
- Logistics/transport/scheduling background.
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good Geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Confident and professional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, handling multiple tasks with a sense of pace and urgency.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, remaining calm under pressure.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 10am - 6pm
Pay rate: £12.50ph
