Based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire our client is looking for a part time Senior Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis working 16 hours a week with flexibility, either 2 full days or spread across multiple.
This job would suit a strong bookkeeper or all round accountant looking to take responsibility for the day to day and month end side of the accounts.
This well-established family business has built a commercial property portfolio over decades and continues to look at growth in the future. The current incumbent is relocating overseas and ideally a replacement is required before the end of September to work through a solid handover.
The successful individual will have previous bookkeeping or all-round accounting experience with good knowledge and experience of Sage Line 50 (and ideally Sage Payroll but not essential). The candidate should expect to work with plenty of autonomy whilst being able to liaise with the long standing Finance Director and owners regularly.
Duties will include:
- Posting supplier invoices, reconciling statements and paying suppliers.
- Raising Bank Payments and Bank Reconciliations of both Current Account and Credit Card takings accounts.
- Payroll
- Sales invoicing
- Producing, Reconciling and Submitting Vat Returns.
- Preparing Monthly Management Accounts with the help of FD.
- Posting Director Expenses/Credit Card Statements
- Quarterly PV (Solar Invoicing)
- Any other duties
