Well-being Practitioner

Our client a leading drainage company based in Slough, is looking for an experienced Well-being Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working Monday - Friday your main base location will be in Slough, but you will travel around the various locations, visiting staff at various depots. Due to this you will be expected to hold a full and clean driving licence with access to a vehicle (mileage will be paid)

You will support our clients Leadership, Management team and the wider network for mental health and well-being of all staff, developing strategies, working policies and implement training to gain a better understanding.

Job responsibilities of a Well-being Practitioner:

  • To organise meetings and facilitate regular updates with the Management team and all depots, to discuss and support Individuals that require guidance in social, emotional and mental health situations, paying particular focus on where it impacts the business, and to keep people well at work.
  • Act as a Safeguarding lead, ensuring follow up and necessary actions are taken.
  • To write and deliver formal group training to build an understanding of well-being and mental health, including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training and supporting the wider MHFA team.
  • Full scope to run regular wellbeing days and sessions on various topics for awareness.
  • To work therapeutically with members of staff where required and signpost for other supports and therapies where applicable and provide support and education to the Management team(s).
  • To employ strategies for early intervention (early indicators of concerns or difficulties), know limits of competence and refer on to external organisations or Occupational Health where necessary.

The successful Well-being Practitioner requirements:

  • Have worked as a Well-being Practitioner previously.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
  • Has all relevant up to date certificates including MHFA.
  • Delivered training solutions to management teams.
  • Written and developed strategies to help support individuals with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
  • Caring and calming approach

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: flexible

Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
