Customer service Advisor

Location: Bourne Valley Rd, Poole BH12 1ED

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours:

  • 37.5-hour week
  • Office hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • 1 Saturday per month: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM (with a half-day off during the week to compensate)

Dress Code: Smart Casual (specific policy provided). Smart attire required for interviews.

Salary:

  • Insurance Advisor (Entry Level): £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

  • Monthly commission structure with OTE earnings of £350 per month after probation. Top employees can earn between £600-£1,000 per month in commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact within the branch.
  • Build rapport with new clients and maintain existing accounts.
  • Ensure clients receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Educate and guide clients in selecting insurance options that best suit their needs.
  • Correspond with clients and handle system calculations accurately.

Products:

  • Single Article Standalone Insurance (Jewellery, Watches, Fine Art, Collections)
  • Non-standard Homes (Thatch, Non-Standard Property Material, Flooding, Subsidence, Let, Landlords, etc.)
  • Higher Value Homes (Mid Net and High Net Worth Clients)

Training and Probation:

  • 6-month probation period (possibility of early sign-off for competent employees).
  • First month primarily classroom-based training, focusing on single article product sales.
  • Progressive training on more complex products over the following months.
  • Weekly reviews and continuous support during probation.
  • Encouragement and financial support for additional learning, including completing Cert CII within the first 18 months of service.

Key Requirements:

  • Dynamic personality with the ability to work with urgency.
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.
  • Good grasp of written English and Maths.
  • Passion for building relationships with clients and understanding their requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities for tailoring solutions to unique client needs.
  • Previous sales/customer-focused experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Ambition and a desire to succeed, with opportunities for career advancement.
