Our client is looking to expand its current Manufacturing/Production Operative departments. The role involves assembling and testing a variety of products and sub-assemblies, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Role Overview:
The Manufacturing/Production Operative will be responsible for assembling and testing products, ensuring they meet quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals with previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly those with an electronics background.
Key Responsibilities:

Assembly and Testing:

Assemble a variety of products and sub-assemblies according to specifications.

Test assembled products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.

Quality Control:

Inspect components and assemblies for defects or non-conformities.

Ensure all products meet the required quality standards before passing them to the next stage.

Manual Dexterity:

Perform tasks that require fine motor skills and attention to detail.

Use hand tools and equipment effectively and safely.
Skills & Competencies:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination.
- Attention to detail and quality-focused.
- Basic understanding of electronics is preferable.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Working Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Day shift, Monday to Friday)
Pay:
- £12.20 per hour initially
- Rising to £12.50 per hour after 12 weeks on the day shift
Contract Details:
- Initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension based on order volumes.
