We're on the lookout for passionate and reliable SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistants for full-time roles (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm) across schools in LS10. These roles support learners with a range of needs, including social, emotional and behavioural challenges, and some may require personal care.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Assist with personal care as required, always respecting student dignity
- Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils self-regulate and engage
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and students
- Contribute to a structured, safe and inclusive classroom environment
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in a similar role or relevant background in psychology, health or care
- Strong behaviour management and calm de-escalation techniques
- Good spoken and written English
- High energy, positive attitude, and a real passion for helping students succeed
- An Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply)
