Spencer Clarke Group is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Science to join a thriving secondary school in Chorley. This is a permanent position starting in September, offering a salary in line with the Main Pay Scale and Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
About the Role:
As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be expected to create engaging and innovative lesson plans that inspire a love for science, foster critical thinking, and promote academic excellence. Your role will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering outstanding lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Establishing a positive and productive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance the school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Science or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
