Bank Support Worker

Are you a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker wanting to control your own rota with flexibility to work the shifts that suit you?

Whether you're looking for extra shifts to boost your income or a flexible job that fits around your lifestyle, if you're an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker you can join our staff bank and after completing a paid two-week induction you'll have access to available HCA/SW shifts at The Woodlands, with a future option to work bank shifts regionally at other Elysium services across the region.

There is no minimum number of hours you're required to work, though it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.

Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you'll have the nursing shifts secured with Elysium that you want.

Whether your experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank HCA or SW with an hourly rate and includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and much more.

What you will be doing:

You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Whether you have experience as a support worker or care worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week because of you.

The service operates 24/7 with 12 hour standard shifts. As a support worker on our bank you'll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose the shifts you want to work.

The Woodlands is a specialist community based home for 6 men living with a learning disability and or autism. Clients may also have unstable epilepsy, profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems. We also support people with genetic disorders such as Prada Willi and other conditions or syndromes based on individual needs.
