This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the newly established Growth & Innovation function focused on maximising business growth within EON UK with targeted investment in customer-centric, innovative products & opportunities.

**Job Purpose:

As Head of Product within Product Growth & Innovation, you will be instrumental in shaping product propositions through process and technology optimisation opportunities and determining how technology will deliver the green energy transition. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills as you harness your creativity to solve complex problems and foster collaboration to bring forth innovative solutions. You will report to the Director of Growth & Innovation and work closely with the Head of New Business Development, Head of Commercial, Head of Portfolio and Head of Engineering.

**Main Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and develop talent and manage the team of product managers.
  • Define and evolve Agile and lean ways of working for the product /team
  • Spearhead investigations and analyses of product and market to form an in-depth understanding of your market, the needs and behaviours of your users, and the breadth and scope of potential product offerings.
  • Identify business opportunities and present to management
  • Base strategic and operational decisions on solid data and analytics to continuously refine and enhance product performance and user satisfaction.
  • Develop the Digital Roadmap based on value-based prioritization of customer requirements in close collaboration with other Heads of within the team
  • Work in close alignment with the Head of Engineering and Head of Portfolio to ensure seamless integration of customers, business experts, developers, and data scientists, to achieve Roadmap goals, aligning your team's efforts towards tackling key challenges and seizing critical opportunities in the product landscape.
  • Champion your vision, advocating passionately for your team and products to inspire and mobilise internal and external stakeholders.
  • Employ an iterative, experimental approach to product development, encouraging rapid learning and adaptation to build products that resonate with users and align with business goals.
  • Play an active role in the Product Community, sharing insights, learning from peers, and contributing to the collective knowledge and advancement of product management practices.

**Essential knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications & competencies:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in product management, with a focus on agile delivery methodologies.
  • Proven experience in user research, discovery techniques, and working closely with technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of technology trends and the ability to apply them in a product development.
  • Product experience in different business disciplines, with proven knowledge in building and growing scalable products and companies
  • Future-oriented value-driven mindset
  • Experience working in a venture capital, private equity or similar innovation and growth portfolio management position
  • Future energy experience with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to lead by example to drive creativity and enthusiasm in the team.
  • A constantly enquiring mind and a natural ability to influence others at all levels
  • Strong commercial and business development acumen with a focus on the customer
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
