Job Title: Plumber

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement / Contract.
  • To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work as per the agreed programme.
  • To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the healthcare objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the hospital service users and staff.
  • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools
  • To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Lead Engineer and Facilities Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required.
  • To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
  • The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. ROBERTSON GROUP 2
  • To carry out any other duties assigned by your Line Manager or Lead Engineer in connection with RFM's operational requirements. To support overarching responsibilities of the building water safety logbook and ensure a robust water hygiene maintenance regime is followed in accordance with Company procedures, risk assessments and industry best practice.
  • To carry out basic testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other building critical systems in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice.
  • To take part on an on-call rota, providing 24-hour, 365-day cover to the hospital as well as other contracts within operational responsibility.
  • To carry out winter gritting and snow clearing duties as necessary as part of the RFM team and assist ground contractor in times of sever inclement weather.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Energy Management System would be an advantage.
  • ACOP Control of Legionella L8 / HSG274 trained.
  • Experience as the Competent Person (CP) or Responsible Person (RP) for Water disciplines within a Healthcare Environment.
  • Ability to work with multi-technology systems to effectively deliver PPM and Reactive tasks.
  • Carry out plumbing works.
  • Experience of working within a Healthcare Environment (desirable)

  • Professionalism and strong work ethic (desirable)
  • Oral and written communications skills (desirable)
  • Full current driving license (desirable)
