Teaching Assistant 1-1 Support

Dunbar Education is a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, dedicated to supporting schools in delivering high-quality education. We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled 1-1 Teaching Assistants (TA) to provide tailored support to students at primary schools in Bedfordshire.

Role Overview:

As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with an individual student, providing personalized support to help them achieve their educational and developmental goals. Your role will be crucial in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for the student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with specific learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning activities.
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Monitor and assess the student's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help manage and address any behavioral or emotional challenges the student may face.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a one-on-one support role.
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum and SEN strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build a positive rapport with students and provide empathetic support.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are desirable.
  • Experience working with specific SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia.
  • Additional qualifications or certifications relevant to the role.
