We need a Project Manager for a prestigious project in South Wales.

Working in a Utilities environment woring in Water.

What will they be doing daily?

Client facing

Managing the project

Procurement

Dealing with issues in site management, site engineering

Risk Management

Project Planning - this person would do the plan and get the Planner to input it into the overall plan

Who will they be interacting with regularly?

The client, the Site Manager, the site team, the subcontractors, procurement, the quality team, the site engineers

Most Important Things:

  • Technical (how long it takes to get pipes in the ground)
  • Leadership - need to lead a team of people plus the subcontractors
  • Commercial - need to make sure they aren't over committing and the margin is shaved
  • Civil Eng - Degree qualified is preferred but can accept HND or HNC and a few years experience
  • Leadership of Site Engineers, Site Manager, Site Supervisors, Planner, Main Contractor, - Traffic management (external) and other subcontractors

Quality Management - Quality Manager person sets the KPI's, and Site Engineers manage it - - and they report to the PM

  • Client facing
  • Budget Management : £4 million

Desirable Things?

Local to the Vale of Glamorgan

This is a hybrid role

You must be:

  • A project Manager with significant experience in civil engineering
  • A utilities bias
  • Be local to the Vale of Glamorgan
  • A full UK driving license

Would suit an Operations Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Civil Engineer
