Teaching Assistant for Students with Physical Disabilities

Join our dedicated team at Reed Education, where we collaborate with schools across Southeast London to nurture every student to reach their full potential. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for Students with Physical Disabilities to provide essential support in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with physical disabilities.
  • Assist with mobility and physical needs, including the use of specialised equipment.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with physical disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or disability support (preferred).
