Finance Manager

Finance & Accounting:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations (UK GAAP, IFRS).
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost accounting, analyzing production costs, variances, and inventory management to improve profitability.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor and forecast cash flow, ensuring efficient management of working capital and liquidity.
  • Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and support internal and external audits.

HR & Payroll:

  • Payroll Management: Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations, including timely processing of employee salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, including managing employee contracts, leave policies, and statutory reporting (e.g., PAYE, National Insurance, pensions).
  • Employee Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including pensions, health insurance, and other perks, ensuring accurate enrolment and record-keeping.
  • HR Policies & Procedures: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency with company objectives and employment law.
  • Recruitment Support: Work with the HR team to assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support to management on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and employee engagement initiatives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Finance Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, operations, and HR teams to ensure alignment between financial performance and human resources objectives.
