Are you looking for a Mental Health assistant role in an Education and Training Sector!

This Mental Health Assistant role is based in Stevenage and is an ideal opportunity to enhance your education and training if you aspire to have a career focussed on Counselling, Men Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or looking at elements of social care for example.

This SEN school is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates as a Mental Health Assistant to provide first class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, ADHD, and communication difficulties, Down syndrome and some speech, language and communication needs.

You will be working closely with the Clinical team within the school.

Job Title: Mental Health Assistant

Location: Stevenage

Sector: Education and Training

Salary Scale: £460-£500 per week

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30

What is required?

  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
  • An interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
  • Live Locally to Stevenage or its surrounding areas
