This is a temporary role reporting to the Technical Manager, the candidate will be responsible for providing quality control support to the manufacturing departments.
Hours of work would be Monday to Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and housekeeping in the laboratory
- Perform analysis on products, according to defined analytical methods and standard operating procedures
- Reviewing packaging and packed product to meet customer requirements
- Ensuring loads are correctly labelled and ready for dispatch
- Coordinating with Warehouse and Manufacturing
- Preparation of samples for HPLC and GC analysis
- Preparation samples to customers for dispatch as appropriate
- Record and report analytical results to QC staff
- Maintain levels of laboratory reagents and consumables
- Arrange for correct disposal of laboratory waste
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a Quality Control Laboratory or Technical background
- Experience in HPLC and GC systems would be advantageous
- Computer literate (MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel) and a good communicator
