We are a job agency partnering with a client in the manufacturing industry to recruit a seasoned Business Development Executive.

Position Overview: The Business Development Executive will be tasked with driving and cultivating new and existing business opportunities within a designated portfolio through a variety of activities, including:

  • Pursuing active live quotations via site visits and fostering relationships with all commercial teams and buying contacts.
  • Identifying key decision-makers and targeting them to solicit inquiries and expand product listings with distributors.
  • Qualifying lead status and updating records in CRM.
  • Generating new sales opportunities with both existing and new customers.
  • Managing new business and quotation pipeline.
  • Targeting leads from key audiences, predominantly B2B distributors in warehouse and industrial settings.
  • Actively targeting key decision-makers for face-to-face meetings to build relationships.
  • Leveraging existing pipeline to close out live quotations as 'Won.'
  • Following up on leads from specific campaigns, such as events and exhibitions, sponsored digital lead generation, and email marketing.

Working Hours:

  • 38.25 hours per week
  • 8:45 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday
  • 5:00 pm finish on Fridays

Salary:

  • Up to £35k, dependent on experience

Bonus:

  • Discretionary bonus based on company performance

Location:

  • Office-based in Wokingham with flexibility for homeworking

Holiday:

  • 23 days + Bank holidays (increasing with length of service)

Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in customer account management, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Technologically astute
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems
  • Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement projects
  • Problem-solving skills with great initiative
  • Good head for numbers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
