Client Acquisition Manager

Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2025.

Location: Home based, however regular travel in the West Yorkshire area is required.

Primary Job Purpose

The Client Acquisition Manager (CAM) role is an outward facing sales-based role. The CAM will play an integral role in sourcing the right volume, mix, size, and quality of clients for the **WYCA Good Growth Programme (GGP)**by identifying and directly approaching likely participants, and key intermediaries offering access to likely participants. The key deliverable is the delivery for the Client Managers of a pipeline of companies ready to sign up for the Good Growth Programme. There will also be a secondary responsibility to assist with output collection as the programme closes in February/March 2025.

Areas of Responsibility

Business Planning & Results

  • Deliver part of the overall GGP client acquisition target as directed by the Programme Manager including identifying and acquiring the right volume, size and quality of potential clients.
  • Accountable for ensuring SME participant eligibility and suitability
  • Accountable for recording all relevant client details accurately onto the CRM system.
  • Accountable for efficient handover of clients to the Client Manager Team.

Client Engagement

  • Work with the marketing team to maximise flow of initial unqualified leads arising from mailouts, social media, the programme website and other channels.
  • Directly contact potential participants identified from databases and other sources to convert them to likely participants for handover to Client Managers.
  • Engage with key intermediaries to gain access to additional potential participants.
  • Identify and attend events where there are likely to be a high incidence of potential participants.
  • Qualify all leads before handing over likely participants to Client Managers
  • Act as an ambassador for GGP, ensuring that your GGP reputation is constantly upheld.
  • As a secondary task as the programme closes, assist Client Managers in output collection.

  • Build effective relationships and establish professional credibility with the key decision maker of potential participants.
  • Build effective relationships and establish professional credibility with the key local business intermediaries.
  • Exemplify the GGP vision and values.

Markets

  • Identify and engage with eligible and suitable businesses, directly or through intermediaries.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal teams and relevant external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Direct experience of successfully selling business support or a closely related service.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Previous experience of building relationships
  • Strong communication skills at all levels essential
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment, where the willingness to adapt to meet the needs of the business, is crucial
