Interim HR Manager

Our client is a non-profit organisation working with people to support their health and wellbeing. Established for over 30 years, they have provided services alongside a variety of statutory and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) colleagues in Surrey and its boarders. They believe change is achievable when offered by a flexible, respectful, inclusive and a non-judgemental approach.

They are currently looking for an

Interim HR Manager

to oversee the People and Culture team but also work hands on in an HR Generalist role. If you are able to start immediately and can commit to a 3 month contract this could be a great role for you.

Salary

: £40,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience

Hours:

ideally 35 hours a week but open to discussion if you are looking at slightly reduced or condensed hours

Duration:

3 month FTC

Location

– Currently Guildford but the office is moving to Woking around September time, also Hybrid so a split between the office and home

This is a key role overseeing a small and friendly People and Culture team. You will take the lead on some projects whilst also taking on a Generalist HR role. As it is a small team you will be working hands on with some areas of focus being training, inductions and appraisals whilst also supporting the service managers with generalist HR support.

You will get to work in a dynamic and fast moving growth organisation within a change programme for organisational design. They work flexibly to support their employees get a better work life balance. Although you will work to process, they are keen to hear suggestions for improvements and drive the processes forward.

It is important that you enjoy a role where each day is different, you are happy to take on a variety of HR related tasks and work within a small team. Your soft skills and ability to build internal relationships and support the wellbeing and mental health of employees is crucial.

Our ideal applicant will have/be;

  • Experience working within HR and ideally within an management or supervisory role
  • CIPD level 5 would be an advantage but not essential
  • Proactive with ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Ability to work collaboratively across an organisation, supporting all main functions
  • Articulate communicator, both written and verbally
  • Empathic and non-judgemental
