**Introduction

We're a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) recruitment specialist, with 40 years of rich history in successfully matching STEM professionals with hiring employers all over the world.

We're excited to be growing quickly as a business, and we're looking for a talented Bid Manager to join our local Bids team in Whiteley.

Is this the right role for me?

We're a highly valued Bids team with a strong win rate, winning multiple internal awards and with great stakeholder buy in. Right now, we need someone who can bring a bit of experience to pick up some of our most critical tender activities, navigate and keep improving our processes and mentor our juniors to continue their development. Sounds good?

Our Bid Manager opportunity could be a great fit if you're:

  • An experienced Bid Writer looking to take a step up – you'll own your own key business contracts, working with and supporting the development of other bid professionals, all within a supportive environment with experienced Bid Management mentors.
  • A Bid Manager seeking an exciting new opportunity – you'll be the lead on our most challenging and creative bid processes, supported by our Bid Writers, in a well-established bidding environment but with the freedom to make your own mark.
  • An experienced Bid Manager – you'll easily slot into an established team to support the team's workload whilst focusing on passing your knowledge onto others through on-bid coaching & reviews.

What will I be doing?

As our dedicated Bids Manager, you'll take the lead on managing the proposal process, building project groups of business experts to help you create high quality proposal content, tailoring your approach to delivery depending on the scale, timeframe and nature of the tender.

Once you're up to speed, you'll regularly work across multiple bids projects alongside our business development and procurement teams, using your knowledge of the process to help you manage your project groups and timelines effectively. Some of your typical activities will include:

  • Coordinating bid project groups to meet key deadlines and client requirements
  • Driving success bid strategy meetings, exploring client drivers and innovative ideas to gain the edge in tender processes
  • Leading the creative process through writing and delegating, to build compelling, well-structured content
  • Overseeing the proposal content quality, to deliver a high level of accuracy
  • Supporting the shared team inbox to qualify tenders, scope out requests, and allocate tasks

What do you need from me?

You're an accomplished bid writer, with experience driving successful project groups and meetings on tender activities, while bringing valuable contributions to the various phases of a bid. You've have refined project management skills, the ability to build and work effectively with cross-departmental teams, and a track record for prioritising tasks effectively to meet conflicting deadlines.

You'll have the drive to become our ‘go-to' bids expert, with a passion to invest in others' personal development.

Any previous experience in recruitment solutions, such as Master Vender and RPO , or any prior industry/APMP qualifications are beneficial, but aren't essential for you to apply.

Why us?

As Bids Manager, you'll be joining a close-knit team, that's won our internal Team of the Year (twice!), recently enjoying a paid-for trip to Turkey and receiving numerous personal awards and with regular team socials!

As a valued colleague, you'll have:

  • 23 days holiday per year, with options to buy and sell holiday on top
  • A wide range of opportunities for professional growth and development – in 2022, around 20% of our colleagues received promotions
  • Access to industry-leading training and potential apprenticeship programs
