Contract Relationship Co-ordinator

Thames Water are currently recruiting a Contracts Performance Coordinator within our Renewals & Logistics department, to develop contractor relationships and contract compliance. Renewals & Logistics manages a portfolio of contracts covering a wide of operational activities including Fleet, tankering, plant and equipment hire, facilities management, waste management, grounds maintenance and many more.

You will be responsible for monitoring the contract performance of suppliers. The role involves working closely with operational site based teams and internal commercial functions to ensure excellent standards are maintained, in line with the contract.

What you'll be doing as a Contracts Performance Coordinator

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor the performance of contractors in accordance with the relevant contract requirements (e.g. specification) in order to ensure best value and services from the contracts.
  • Review contractor's performance against KPIs and applying service level credits where applicable.
  • Ensure any issues are brought to the contractors attention and are remedied in a timely manner.
  • Represent Thames Water at Contract Meetings with suppliers.

Handling Complaints:

  • Record, investigate and resolve complaints regarding contractors received from internal Operations teams and/or members of the public.

Auditing:

  • Plan and undertake inspections, audits, reviews and other assessments relating to all services to ensure works are undertaken in accordance with the provisions in the contract and follows all relevant procedures and legislation, including health and safety and environmental.

Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all inspections, audits, reviews and assessments and produce associated statistics and reports as may be required.
  • Report on key risks and opportunities to the Contract Manager.

Commercials:

  • Assist with payment queries and disputes on contract financials and work closely with OPAL Quantity Surveyors to resolve.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute towards and participate in the continuous improvement of the contracted services delivered by Renewals & Logistics.

Base Location & Hours – This role is Hybrid out of Clearwater Court, Reading. Working 36 hours per week.

What you should bring to the role

  • Previous experience of dealing with suppliers and contractors as a customer.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Driving licence is desirable but not essential.
