Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager/Client Portfolio Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services. This role requires a combination of technical accounting expertise, excellent client relationship skills, and strong team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting advice and tailored financial solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Lead client meetings to discuss financial strategies, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other client deliverables.
  • Oversee the scheduling and workload of the accounting team to optimize productivity and service delivery.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of their unique needs.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, from identifying talent to interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance across all client portfolios.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in managing client portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in team scheduling, management, onboarding, and recruitment would be desirable.
  • 10 years of experience in an accounting or financial services environment is desirable, but we encourage candidates with a strong background and less experience to apply.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
