Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Shipdham, Norfolk

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum

Within the Falcon Group is Falcon Tower Crane Services, the largest tower crane supplier in the UK and one of the largest in the world with just under 450 tower cranes nationwide. Falcon Power Generation with 400 generators nationwide along with Falcon Freight who operate a fleet of 32 HGV vehicles with a selection of units supporting artic and rigid HIAB cranes.

Falcon Freight Limited are looking for a Trainee Transport Planner to be based in Shipdham, Norfolk to assist our Transport Division.

Responsibilities - Trainee Transport Planner :

  • Organising the workload of Hiabs, Rigid and 45ft loads in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
  • Inputting of data on a transport planning system.
  • Maintaining servicing schedules and planning routine maintenance and MOT's.
  • Answering and dealing with internal and external telephone calls.
  • Maintaining of internal databases.
  • Preparing and managing Custom Declarations.
  • General administration duties.

Skills - Trainee Transport Planner :

  • A strong knowledge of the UK Road Network.
  • An understanding of Driving Hours and Working Time Directive.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Confident with an excellent phone manner.
  • The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated and be able to organise their time and workload efficiently.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with HGV Drivers and Customers.
  • Good command of the English Language.
  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good understanding of numeracy.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Determination to take ownership of tasks.
  • A desire to learn and improve knowledge and skills.
