Working hours: Minimum 36 per week with flexi-time and early finish on Friday

Our client's company is looking for a Quality and Health and Safety Coordinator to manage their business quality systems and Health and Safety throughout the company at multiple sites. The job will cover managing annual ISO audits, internal process audits, supplier evaluation, management of ERP system amongst other day to day activities.

Based in St-Leonards on Sea, your job main purpose is the management and responsibility for the Quality function and Quality Management System, ensuring that processes and manufactured products fully comply with and exceed customer expectations and all relevant certification bodies.

The candidate should ideally have a relevant manufacturing/engineering degree or have a minimum qualification at HNC level. They operate in a very niche area and so training will be given, but experience of working within the vacuum industry is desirable but not critical. Experience in systems such as ISO9001, 5S continuous improvement, CE Marking, and general Health and Safety are all highly advantageous.

They operate in a very relaxed but fast moving, creative and close-knit environment. They require a forward thinker, to continuously look for ways to improve their systems and processes, and a hard worker that can work well under pressure and prioritise work. Great communication is key as they will be required to liaise with stake holders, suppliers and customers.

They would also need a driving licence and be happy to drive (and fly) to other sites around UK, Europe and other locations as required.

Our client's ideal candidate would be experienced in a similar role maintaining high levels of quality in their work but also holding members of the wider community accountable to provide the highest quality product and work environment. An understanding of engineering and manufacturing with some hands-on skills would be beneficial to understand the product and industry better. The candidate will have new ideas and knowledge that they can bring in to complement their existing team and how improve their overall quality with a vision for new ideas and opportunities.
