Hours: Day shift: 39 hrs / early finish Friday

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will have experience setting and operating Matsuura CNC machines and be responsible for producing precision components to exacting specifications. You will work to "AS" accreditation standards and have the ability to self-inspect your work to ensure compliance with the highest quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate Matsuura CNC milling machines.
  • Machine high-precision components for Aerospace and Defence applications.
  • Work with 5 axis Matsuura machining centres with Fanuc Controls
  • Ensure all work meets "AS" accreditation and company quality standards.
  • Self-inspect machined parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to optimise machining processes and achieve maximum efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with the ability to set and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Proficiency in setting and operating Matsuura CNC machines.
  • Strong understanding of "AS" accreditation and quality control requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in 3-axis CNC milling (5-axis experience would be advantageous).
  • Ability to work independently, with a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in Aerospace or Defence industries.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices in machining environments.
