£25,000 per annum

Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8am - 1pm (Early Finish Friday!)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Wirer to join our client and help assemble rack-built alarm and communication systems for the Oil, Gas, Nuclear and Renewables sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Assemble and wire rack-based systems and associated components according to technical specifications and project documentation.
  • Maintain quality standards in compliance with company procedures.
  • Ensure all wiring and mechanical assembly adheres to the relevant drawings.
  • Document any changes to build documentation.
  • Follow the project plan and build schedule as directed by the manager.
  • Keep accurate records, including "Drawing Red Line Mark-Ups," punch lists and time sheets.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Report any concerns and suggest corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and obstacle-free production and storage area.
  • Seek technical support from engineering or quality departments when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in panel wiring.
  • Strong background in electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Suitably experienced apprentices will be considered.
  • Understanding of basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Accurate and reliable crimping and cable termination (IPC620 desired).
  • Diligent with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and teamwork ethic.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
