Digital Marketing Manager / eCommerce Lead

The Business

Our client is a leading supplier of high-quality lighting products to the domestic, wholesale and trade customer. Investing heavily on the research and development of their own product lines, constantly adding to their exisiting range and products from external suppliers. The business has an already strong customer base and is eager to enter a new growth phase through new customer aquisition.

The Role

Working directly with the Managing Director, the Digital Marketing Manager / eComm Lead will be tasked with growing the business across multiple sales and marketing channels. Taking the lead of an internal team of 6, this role will also have full accountability of the annual and monthly marketing budgets.

You should have several years experience in E-commerce, Email marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO and Link Building

Responsibilities

  • Create a clear written marketing strategy for the business overall including strategies to grow each individual revenue generating channel.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Team to deliver the strategy and support business objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure the successful design and execution of impactful campaign plans.
  • Accountable for the delivery of all Marketing KPI's
  • Report on agreed metrics and provide monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and use data to make improvements and informed decisions.
  • Effectively manage the budget and team resources to deliver targets, setting clear priorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and any external agencies, to align acquisition efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure that all digital and traditional marketing activity is coordinated, delivered in line with budgets and demonstrates maximum return on investment
  • Ensure that website content is fully optimised for search engines (SEO) in line with company's SEO guidelines and ensure high visibility of all company websites.
  • Ensure all social media channels represent consistent ‘on brand' voice in line with brand guidelines.
  • Coach and develop the Marketing team
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, especially anything SEO
  • Identify and drive new marketing channels and opportunities to grow the business
  • Management of external agency partners

Relevant Experience

  • Significant experience in digital marketing
  • 5 years experience in e-commerce (preferably magento/magento 2)
  • Experience in delivering campaigns on social platforms focused on engagement and sales revenue
  • Experience with email marketing tools
  • Clear track record of driving measurable performance across channels
  • Experience managing a large marketing budget with an emphasis on social media and digital marketing, focused on budget deployment for maximum results and ROI
  • Experience with Google Ads along with analytics tools
  • Ability to plan, set and report on budget spend in relation to marketing plans and financial return
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels across the business
