Bookkeeping Manager
An Accountancy Practice is looking to recruit a Bookkeeping Manager to join their growing team based near Preston.
This role would be great for somebody who is currently a Bookkeeping Manager in practice, looking to gain more exposure or perhaps somebody who works in a larger practice, seeking more of a work/life balance and better work culture.
What you will do:
As Bookkeeping Manager you will be responsible for the operational delivery of a varied portfolio of clients ensuring all outsourcing services are delivered in line with the service level agreement and within budget. You will also support and develop the team and work on overall business development of outsourcing services and maintain and develop key client relationships.
- Lead meetings with new prospects and win new work
- Support and manage the team to increase efficiency and automation within the client deliverables
- Oversee bookkeeping and VAT team and review the work
- Monitor KPIs and work to improve these internally within the teams
- Arrange training and development for the team
- Ensure the MI for clients is insightful and provide interpretation and advice
- Support the growth and development of the team through appraisals and mentoring
- Project manage large scale on boarding jobs
What you will need:
- Previous experience of working within a firm of accountants in the Bookkeeping Department
- Experience of cloud based accounting packages and applications
- Experience managing a team and overseeing work
