Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be once again partnering with a historic part of the Oxford University to help source a Management Accountant to join their close knit yet busy finance function. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Production of monthly management accounts and budget holder reporting in line with company deadlines.
- Production of balance sheet and review of all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets ledger and reconciliation to nominal ledger on monthly basis.
- Assistance with production of statutory accounts and returns.
- Assistance with managing the annual audit and liaison with auditors.
- Assistance with cash flow management and reporting.
- Prepare VAT returns, VAT annual adjustment reporting and any capital goods scheme adjustments required.
- Preparation of forecasts and budgets.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Accounts Office.
- Oversee and back-up operation of payroll.
- Deal with ad hoc queries from other departments and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an accomplished Management Accountant - with excellent business partnering skills, capable of communicating and reporting to a variety of stakeholders within the organisation. Ideally, you will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE, with extensive experience. You will be able to fit into a busy, yet small finance function, and be keen to find a role with ownership. On occasion, you will have to support the Accounts Assistants - so an individual who is not afraid to get "hands on" is a must. Finally, you will have excellent Excel skills and ideally have worked on a number of accounting systems and packages.
